I help moms reach their breastfeeding goals.

My name is Leah and I’ve been a board-certified lactation consultant for more than a decade. My experience is enhanced from having worked in a variety of different settings including clinics, hospitals, office, and private residence. Of all the settings, my favorite is working in private practice, as I can closely follow families throughout their breastfeeding journey. I am best known for connecting with my clients, helping them feel comfortable and more confident after our meetings. Knowing the challenges that parents face, I founded SOS Lactation to provide immediate quality breastfeeding support.

Breastfeeding is natural. It is also a learned behavior. Many mothers need hands-on help to reach their individual breastfeeding goals. I offer one-on-one consultations remotely, in-office, and in the privacy of your own home. A detailed report of the consultation is sent to the baby’s pediatrician and other members of the family’s healthcare team such as doctors, doulas, dentists, etc. as needed. Providers appreciate this information, as it helps keep the entire team better able to support the mother and baby with breastfeeding.

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Leah has acted in many capacities including writing curricula for breastfeeding education, facilitating support groups, working with a milk bank, speaking engagements, presenting at conferences, and teaching private and group classes.

Breastfeeding Classes

SOS Lactation offers in-person group breastfeeding classes and private remote breastfeeding classes accessible from the comfort of your own home. This 90-120 minute class covers all of the pertinent breastfeeding information parents should know before the baby is born.
